OC National Search was founded in 2001 by Michael Mitchel as a boutique search firm serving clients ranging from startups, middle market to Global F10 companies.
Michael is passionate about search; he is Hogan Certified, CTI Fundamental Coaching and behavioral interview trained and completed the Advanced Program in Executive Search from the ILR School at Cornell.
With a national and local footprint, Michael completes search engagements for Director, VP, SVP and CXO-level positions. As a search consultant, engagement services include assignment discovery, search strategy, branding, candidate development and selection, interview advising and post placement follow through.
A Veteran of the U.S. Navy, Michael brings the ethos of the military to the foundation of OC National Search’s core values: authenticity, commitment and passion. He stands with the client at every step of the search process.
He enjoys all that Colorado has to offer, skier, cyclist, thru hiker and photographer. On his days off, Michael enjoys hiking in the Colorado Rockies with his cattle dog, Kala the Wunderdawg.
Angela Johnson has been a part of the OC National Search team since 2006, specializing in executive recruiting, research and sourcing.
She leads the firm’s critical research and investigative efforts. Research includes candidate sourcing, locating contact information, background and reference checks, client competitor information and market data. Angela executes creative strategies to source, and contact a highly targeted candidate pool.
Angela received a BA in Journalism, from Metropolitan State University of Denver, with an emphasis in Investigative Journalism.
Angela is both a Certified People Sourcing Professional (CPSP) and Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW) and experienced in crafting impactful C- Level resumes.
Kyle hails from Boulder, Colorado. He began his audio career working as a stagehand in various New York City theaters and concert halls, eventually working his way up to mixing concerts at the world-famous Lincoln Center.
In 2017, he returned to Colorado and began touring with a rock band as a monitor engineer. When the pandemic struck, he pivoted to his skills as an audio editor and founded his podcast editing business, which quickly became his full-time job.
In his free time, he collects Scotch whisky, builds furniture, and listens to heavy metal.
