Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership

• Define and execute the company’s vision, mission, and long-term strategic objectives.

2. Operational Leadership

• Develop scalable systems for managing the commercialization process, including establishing KPIs for project milestones and team performance.

3. Financial Oversight

• Build and maintain strong investor relationships, with a focus on Series A fundraising.

4. Team Development

• Cultivate and lead a high-performing executive team that drives innovation and fosters collaboration.

5. Market Positioning

• Develop and execute strategies to scale the business, targeting 6-10 deals within the first 15-18 months.

• Exceptional fundraising expertise, with a proven ability to secure capital effectively.
• Entrepreneurial drive and adaptability to navigate and thrive in dynamic environments.
• Deep understanding of M&A deal-making processes and strategies.

Prior Experience:

• Demonstrated success in at least two startup leadership roles.
•  Proven track record of fundraising achievements.
•  Extensive experience within the growth-stage technology startup ecosystem.

Compensation

Base Salary range $175k-$220K with equity commensurate with responsibility and performance.

Gary Graham brings over 30 years of experience working with emerging growth companies. As the Executive Managing Director of First Capital Ventures, he has successfully led more than 125 financings.

Gary founded First Capital Ventures (formerly First Capital Business Development) in 2005 to partner with entrepreneurs, investors, private equity groups, venture capital funds, and investment banking firms. His focus has been on restructuring, financing, and revitalizing high-potential startups, under-performing businesses, and re-start ventures.

Before launching First Capital Ventures, Gary built a distinguished career in investment and merchant banking. He began at Smith Barney, where he specialized in creating innovative financing solutions for growth-stage companies.
